Do you have some beautiful old family photos or some lovely postcards that are too nice to keep tucked away in a cupboard?
Here are some creative ways to display them. These examples show there is more ways to display photos and postcards than putting them in a frame.
I love that each of these examples have taken a casual, unstructured approach to display - they look spontaneous and easy.

By the way, two weeks today til I go to Bali, not that I'm counting or getting excited or anything.....
Best wishes,

Lovely ideas Catherine. I have a few hanging from clips. Can change them around as my mood changes. These choices are great and the casual way of displaying reminds me of being a teenager when it was a 'must' to have all your favourites around you.. must be still a teenager at heart!! Nice memories.. Thanks
Some great ideas there. I love the folded pags display.

great ideas!!! I have a wall problem in my basement (we raised the cilings but the paneling stopped so now we have a foot wide board going around our ceilings) ... I'm planning on FINALLY getting out all of our old pics/ postcards etc and hanging them on a string... Your timing is PERFECT because I wasn't quite sure how it would turn out.
also- i haven't been able to read blgos as much since the summer started & i'm needing SO BADLY to sit down & take a red through yours for missed posts!!! will be a treat.

In my old place, i had thing wire lines on a wall and clipped photos, magazine cut outs and post cards on it.
I love all these soft and romantic looking ideas. I have a stack of beautiful things I need to display...
I think the string idea is really neat! Just have to remember to ask my friends to colour coordinate the postcards they're sending! The styling in these photos are just lovely.
If I were to to to Bali, I wouldn't bother looking forward to it either =D
What beautiful and inspiring ideas. I love the photos and lights on the mirror - it looks so chic yet laid-back at the same time.
Love these images - thanks for sharing!!! They got my creative juices flowing.
So happy to have discovered your lovely blog. I love the post card ideas.
Blessings,

I do love the way that these photos and postcards are displayed around the house.
It seems such a shame to have them hidden away in a box.

Hi Catherine,
I love old postcards too. I have a pile of them.
Awhile back I posted an offer on my blog to send anyone one...here, if anyone out there would like an antique/vintage postcard sent to them. Receiving real mail is fabulous too!
What's the countdown to your lovely vacation now?
Andrea :)
I always love photos tucked into the corners of mirrors. Bali will be fabulous! Have fun!

I'm all about the antique magnifying glass approach! You always have the most beautiful selection of photos!
I ADORE every photo you found, Catherine. Thanks for the wonderful inspiration!
A friend of mine has family photos from several generations scattered on her dining table and covered with a made-to-measure sheet of glass.
These images and ideas are gorgeous...just like your beautiful, beautiful blog.

Lovely Collections. I like all the above given designs. I use postcards only for official purposes. I get it designed and printed from Postcard Ninjas.
Wow. Just stumbled on your blog. Love it!
That picture of the bedroom with frame-less pictures on the wall is great. Just the kind of thing I'd like to highlight at my blog http://unpolished-life.blogspot.com/
Thanks for an inspiring post!
