I'll be honest with you. I do have the blues at the moment. I know I said I wouldn't bore you with the details...but here I go. It's been a tumultuous few weeks, with two suspensions from school for my son. And today he was formally 'excluded' from school - they don't use the term 'expelled' any more. He is now on the waiting list to go to a 'learning centre' for ten weeks, where achieving behavioural and attitudinal change is the goal. It is an intensive environment, with one teacher for every five students.
In the meantime, I've taken emergency leave from work and can just hope that he gets into the learning centre soon and that it turns out to be just the ticket for helping him learn to control his emotions. We went to the library today and just had some quiet time together.
So there you go. Now it's time to think about something happy! And for me that always means beautiful homes and lovely images! I've chosen lots of pretty blues today - fresh, cool and soothing. With white as the background, as always. Such a classic. I hope you like these images!

I hope you all enjoy the rest of your day, lovely people! I can't tell you how much your readership and your thoughtful comments mean to me. You brighten my day when I need it those most. Thank you.

Adore that first photo - SO beautiful! Hope things get ironed out for you and your son, soon, Catherine.
Oh, Catherine. I hope things can settle down for you soon. You are such a wonderful mother, I can imagine how heartbreaking it is for your son to be going through this. As the mother of a deaf child I know how heartbreaking it is to see your child just want to be like the others. Thinking of you. xx
The new learning center sounds great! You are such a wonderful pro-active mom!!! Keep up the good spirits.
Fantastic choices of pictures... I don't usually care for blue at all, but I just might change my mind. And I hope things go well for you and your son over the next little while.
Catherine, I know that it must be very difficult for you both at present, but I am sure that you and your son will make it through this very challenging time and come out the other side stronger & wiser. Take care. Lee xx
Love your blue pics. :) Sorry about the school situation....there is nothing more stressful as a mom, than having something going on with one of your children. Hope it gets worked out soon!
oh Catherine. I'm so sorry to hear that. as a mother of two restless boys I know it is really hard work with them. hope things can go better soon... the images you chose are SO lovely! keep on with your wonderful work!
I'm so sorry you have to go through that. Seems like you taking the bull by the horns though!
Praying for you and family...have a blessed day
xx

I'll take the images of those blues any day! How gorgeous is that plumbego?!
Big hugs to you, Catherine -- you are a WONDERFUL mother and your special son is so lucky that you are the one in his life that keeps lovingly guiding him towards answers to make his (and your) life work truly to the best for him. Hang in there. Both of you.
Sending you strength and much love!

Catherine, you are obviously a wonderful mother, and doing all that you can to work through your son's issues. Believe that it will all be ok, love, positive spirits and focus on making things better, you will both get through this difficult time, and believe me, as a single Mum, I really do sympathise when there are hurdles at school to be dealt with, I am working through our own at the moment. In the meantime, embrace beautiful images, calming colours and peaceful moments, light your favourite candle, and smile, it will be just fine:-) Best wishes, Claire
I love that first photo. Beautiful. I hope that the learning center will be a help to your son. Hang in there, sweetie. Things will look up. :)
Oh, dear, I'm so sorry! Things will settle down. Some kids go through really tough transitions, but having you there to love and support him will get you guys through it. Is it just me or does "excluded" sound much meaner than "expelled"? I wonder why they changed it.
Keep your chin up and give your son a hug for me. Love conquers all!
You are a great mom!
Don't worry! everything will be all right with your son and thanks for sharing your feelings with us
I hope our supporting comments can cheer you up a little bit... and by the way I want to change my TV room putting a white sofa and lots of beutiful navy pillows so you have inspired me a lot thank you very much and have a nice day :)
Hang in there, sweet Catherine.
Hopefully, that list will shorten and your son will get into that program.
Just remember you are a wonderful mother and you are doing the best you can and that is all we can do at times.
The images are lovely, I love the grey bed. I am thinking of going with grey in my new bedroom.
hugs.

As the mother of a struggling daughter, my heart goes out to you. I have been where you are, with a child struggling with self control. Always take time to build yourself up in God's Word, and when you feel drained, take time to get yourself refreshed. You can't give out to others if you have nothing left. I'll be praying for you!
Catherine - so sorry to hear about your son and your situation. Praying for you and hoping that he gets the help and care that he needs. Wish there was something I could do...good luck to you both and hang in there. I hope the learning center is just what fits the bill.
Love all of the blue pictures! Hope everything is going well for you and your son.
Catherine Positive thoughts coming your way. The Learning Centre sounds perfect for your som. Good luck with getting in early.

A stunning collage of blues sweet girl, thank you. What a roller caoster ride you & A. are on at the moment. I know you will stay strong & focussed, determined in your resolve to find the right help for your boy. Lots of love & support to you, this is so tough & so not fair.

Catherine,
I hope these pictures lifted your spirits because they sure did mine! Thanks for the beautiful post as always.
Hi Catherine,
I love all your pretty blue photos.
I am so sorry to hear of the problems you are having.
It is not fair and must be so hard for both you and your boy.
I hope that your Son will get into the new school very soon and it will make all the difference.
Sending my love and support and I hope things will work out well for you both.
Hugs
Carolyn
Catherine, I'm glad you shared your struggles with us; sometimes just that much will lighten the load. You're doing all of the right things with Angus. Ultimately things will fall in line, I promise, and a year from now you will look back and think, "Wow, that was AWFUL and we made it through!" If I could be so bold as to suggest one thing, it would be for you to pray about it. Honestly. God is there with you, weathering every storm, and He would love for you to lean on Him. Every good parent wants to do the best by their children. God is no different. Philippians 4:6 (New King James Version)
"Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God."
Such a lovely, relaxing collection of images . . . sending warm thoughts and wishes to you and your son.
Thinking of you, Catherine. Hope the light at the end of the tunnel appears soon.

Catherine, I want to add my best wishes to you too. This is a hard hard thing you're dealing with; please believe that you are doing the best thing for your boy. My mother went through similar things with my brother when he was a kid, and she did it on her own, so I can imagine what you're going through now. I hope you have a strong circle around you of people you can lean on too.
Things will come right for your son,in the meantime your look at all these 'beautiful blues' will surely cheer you as much as it has me... Your son is lucky to have such a loving and clever Mum.
Dear Catherine,
everything will be fine
