Take it indoors

Well tonight's girl's night has been postponed until tomorrow. And that's fine by me - I'm tucked up on the couch, in my jim jams and slippers, having a little 'me time'. Bliss!

So seeing I am home, I couldn't go by without a post.

The theme of tonight's post is: greenery.

I love how bringing a plant into the home can really lift a neutral scheme. Here's some examples I like.

Longer lasting than flowers, good for the environment, and soothing to the soul, pot plants can look good in any style of home, but really work brilliantly with clean, uncluttered neutral rooms. Depending upon the type of plant you chose, they can add some pretty softness or a sculptural hit of colour.

This is a great topic and I have to say I am torn about plants ...sometimes I think they add life and a serene feel to a space and other times, I think they just add clutter... what's a girl to do?

I LOVE a touch of greenery but whenever I try it in my own home, I kill the plants! And it's a funny thing too because I'm good at gardening outdoors...Lovely images in any case!

Now THERE'S the right touch. Greenery. Neutral rooms are soooo much better with that little lift.

I agree! I have many houseplants. Love them. I simply adored the photo with the wagon living room table and the letterpress letter box up on the wall! *sigh*

I totally agree about this, but I think that my plants disagree! The only plant which has survived in our place is the mother-in-law's tongue. Though it hasn't met my nearly-crawling son yet ...

I love the look of potted plants but don't always have success with them. So much seems to depend on whether the plant is happy in that spot.
FYI, for those of us not green fingered, I mentioned this piece in a Trees and Leaves posting at Struggling to be Stylish.

I am not a huge fan of greenery inside, I don't know why - I cut it and arrange it and then decide I have gone wrong somewhere - but these images could change my mind...Happy weekend, xv.
