Chocolate and vanilla: a perfect pair

I love the colour combination of rich, velvety chocolate brown, lightened up with a touch of pale vanilla colours.

Hope these pictures are a feast for your eyes!

Who says brown is boring? Not me! Brown is warm, inviting and comforting.

Best wishes,

Mmm...delectable. The bathtub in amongst rustic brick and exposed beams is fabulous.

Very yummy. I am using chocolate and vanilla in one bedroom and taupe, black and white in the other.
C'est parfait.

Oh my, I simply love, love rooms that have elements of old and used things in them. They transform a room into a home, being an element of age.

Well I'm sold! That's an absolutely beautiful colour combo - the richness of the dark browns & the clarity of the white/vanilla. Gorgeous.

I really love this post. This color combo is so perfect. Two lovely neutrals can make such a statement. I think these colors are so soothing together!

Yes, brown is warm, inviting, comforting. But it needs to be the right shade teamed with the right accessories (in the right shades). The mission brown and burnt orange/lime green of years past is atrocious.

I'm just putting the finishing touches to our new Guest Room & although not really on my radar much before, I've gone for a chocolate shade on the lamp & a gorgeous choccie throw pillow on the parchment colour bed linen & wow, it's perfect! Lovely pics Catherine. Glad to know I may be vaguely in line with the current look!

Yummy, I love the contrast of the dark and light colors together. It makes the accessories pop right out.
