A delicious aroma

On the weekend I bought these cinnamon sticks. I’ve placed them on my console table in my living room, and they have permeated my whole house with a beautiful, spicy scent. But I also think the sticks have been infused with some sort of oil, as the scent has a slight floral undertone (and the sticks came with a warning – not to be used in cooking!).

They were a bargain at $6.

In addition, the city where I live (Adelaide) has had its first good rain in 80 days, so I’ve opened up the house so I can smell that beautiful scent of fresh earth, damp air and rain.

Best wishes,

Hi Catherine, You can buy cinnamon sticks in quantity for decent prices at Spices, Etc. online. You can buy EVERY spice there. I can vouch for them. Chef Stu buys his stuff through them. Great idea to have them out on display! PJ

Mmmmm, that lovely aroma has wafted all the way up to Stirling Catherine! Yes, the rain has been just fabulous, I don't think I've ever been so excited to see it before.

Oooh, I love cinnamon!

I just wanted to tell you that I got the magazines yesterday. I am so excited. I was going to email you from home tonight but thought I'd just leave a comment here since I am perusing blogs on my lunch break!

You are such a doll. I'm so excited to read them!!!!!!!! And it cost you a fortune to mail them!

I am sending you a couple in return. I will let you know when I post them, but may send them by ox cart to save money. ;)

Thank you Thank you Thank you - you are so generous and it really made my day (which was otherwise bad yesterday!)

xo and big hug Catherine!

P.S. I love the white sofas and the dark ones too!
